Why Latino Youth?

Education For All Youth

Youth Discovery Inc is committed to every youth on the planet having an opportunity for an advanced education of his or her choosing.

On the other hand, we believe that with Latino youth we can have the most impact with the least investment. Latinos are performing at about 1/3 the rate of white students in almost every educational category. We believe that this can be changed quite easily with our programs. Once we have developed and implemented our Latino programs it will be a small adjustment to change them to work for any and all ethnic groups.

We are using a multitude of methodologies to reach all youth, including in-school classes, extensive youth tutoring, and communication technology-with parental supervision.

We are neither “experts” in education, nor “ego” driven. But we do know and care about youth, and we are following the growth of communication technology. We are seeking volunteers (and donation to pay non-volunteers) to help us develop professional programs. We are completely open to ideas and are forming advisory councils on all levels: government, education, community activists, parents, and students to guide our programs.

In the navigation scheme you will find documents of our initial ideas, focused on Latino youth. We expect the Self-Discovery Class to be completed in the next 1 to 2 years, and become national within 5 to 10 years. With this we expect to inspire 8 to 12 million more Latino youth to achieve a higher education. Then on to other ethnic groups!
